This was one of my very first weddings, and it seems so long ago. Looking back, I can see that I've come a long way in skill and style. This isn't my best work photographically, but the beauty of the day and the love of this couple made their photos irresistable to share.
Justin and Danielle's wedding took place at Shipwreck Beach in Poipu, Kauai. We met in the parking lot just before the ceremony. I've found that most destination wedding'ers like to be spontaneous like that. My handsome hubby was the hired officiant, which makes my job all the more enjoyable. We all hit it off right away, and chatted merrily on the walk to their spot.
These two have a remarkably fun story. Danielle is a dental hygienist and she met Justin working on his teeth! I can just imagine it - his mouth is numb and he asks her out mumbling and slurring like a drunkard while she's suctioning his saliva... I know that's just my twisted imagination, but it makes for much amusement.
Anyway, the sun was bright and high in the sky, and the waves were crashing against the cliff as they said their vows. The feeling in the air was magical, and the looks they gave each other were testament of their devotion and adoration for one another.
Their vows were sealed with a kiss and we spent the next hour taking photos. Many brides and grooms feel shy and nervous, and it may take a little work for me to get them to loosen up for the photos. But not these two. They were natural from the start, and oh so beautiful! I must say, Justin and Danielle made my job a walk in the park! I love doing Kauai wedding photography!!!
